Project Description

Set against the dynamic backdrop of Abu Dhabi’s urban growth, the five new bus stations in Khalifa City, Mussafah, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Shahama City, and Shakhbout City represent a bold architectural statement. Featuring a sleek, futuristic design with flowing curves and expansive glass façades, these stations seamlessly blend aesthetic appeal with functionality. 


The architectural language, as depicted in the design, reflects Abu Dhabi’s commitment to innovation and progress, creating not only a practical transit hub but also a civic landmark in its respective locality.


Strategically located to enhance connectivity for residents and visitors alike, these stations embody a vision of efficiency and elegance, elevating public transportation into an experience of comfort and sophistication while contributing to the emirate’s broader sustainability and urban planning goals.

Role and Responsibility

  • Began as Lead Design Architect defining architectural vision and design principles for a network of five public bus stations, ensuring functional clarity and cohesive identity across sites.
     
  • Transitioned into Design Manager role, assuming responsibility for multidisciplinary integration, design governance, and coordination strategy across parallel project workflows.
     
  • Led coordination between architecture, structure, MEP, landscape, and specialist disciplines, resolving technical interfaces and ensuring consistency between design intent and operational requirements.
     
  • Managed concurrent design packages across multiple locations, balancing standardization with site-specific adaptations.
     
  • Directed BIM-driven coordination (LOD 300), facilitating workshops and resolving clashes to minimize redesign and support programme efficiency.
     
  • Served as central communication point between stakeholders, guiding design decisions and maintaining alignment across teams and project phases.
