Jacob & Co Beachfront Living, Al Jurf, Abu Dhabi

Project Description

Situated along the untouched coastline of Al Jurf between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Jacob & Co. Beachfront Living is a luxury residential development conceived as a refined coastal retreat. The project draws on the fluidity of the shoreline and the surrounding natural reserve to establish a calm, understated architectural language that prioritizes openness, privacy, and connection to the landscape.

The development comprises a collection of beachfront apartments, Sky villas, penthouses, and signature residences, each oriented to maximize sea views and natural light. Architectural expression is defined by clean geometries, expansive glazing, and layered outdoor spaces that blur the boundary between interior and exterior living. Material palettes and detailing emphasize restraint and precision, reinforcing a sense of timeless elegance rather than overt opulence.

Integrated amenities—including beachfront leisure facilities, wellness spaces, and landscaped promenades—are carefully embedded within the masterplan to support a resort-like lifestyle while preserving the site’s natural character. The result is a contemporary coastal environment where luxury is expressed through spatial clarity, proportion, and a seamless relationship with its surroundings.

Role and Responsibilities

 

  • Acted as Design Manager leading multidisciplinary design delivery from Concept through Detailed Design, balancing design ambition with technical, regulatory, and programme constraints.
     
  • Implemented structured design governance including Design Management Plans, deliverables tracking, and stage-gate controls to maintain clarity and accountability throughout project development.
     
  • Led integration of architecture, interiors, structure, MEP, landscape, and specialist disciplines, resolving critical interfaces and enabling coordinated design outcomes.
     
  • Directed BIM-driven coordination (LOD 300), facilitating workshops and resolving clashes to minimize risk, avoid rework, and protect delivery schedules.
     
  • Served as primary client design interface, managing scope alignment, decision-making processes, and controlled implementation of design changes.
     
  • Enabled programme recovery through strategic design planning and proactive resource coordination.
     
  • Guided authority submissions ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with client expectations.
